| Dear Nanny, Be welcome in this somewhat unconventional family. I am a documentarymaker for Dutch television (36) and my partner (53) is an sculptor/painter. Our little boy is one year old, with a very cheerful and outgoing personality. Our worksituation demands a flexible nanny: you will always work on tuesday and thursday, the rest of the hours depend on the demands of both our jobs. And those demands vary a lot: sometimes I have to work evenings and weekends as well, sometimes I`ll be free for a few weeks. Sometimes I have to travel and you will be in charge for the little boy for the time I`m away. If the businesstrip takes more then a week, I prefer taking you and my son along with me: I can`t miss him that long! Of course, if you wish to follow a course or have another job on the side, we can always work something our, we don`t expect you to be available 24 h/7 days a week. But flexibility is the key word on both sides. My partner and I both very fond of our privacy, and we will respect yours. But the meals will be spend as a family, as much as possible, and you will always be able to come to us with whatever problem or question you have. I hope you like these working conditions. See you soon! |
